Device for inserting educts into a reactor containing a catalyst material on support elements comprises an educt preparation zone in the flow direction of the educts followed by a mixing zone (5) and a distribution zone (4) arranged in the reactor integrated in the flow direction before the support elements. Preferred Features: The mixing zone is formed as an external or internal mixing zone for forming a mixture of least two different materials (H2O, CnHm, air). A flow distributor (8) formed as a perforated sheet material is arranged in the flow direction of the educts between the distribution zone and the support elements.
