A gap (1) with a width (16) is bordered by elements (3a,3b) such as a door sill and a door for a car body. A leaf spring (5) fits on a sensor element (7) at a fastening point (6). A rounded stop (9) fits on the leaf spring end opposite the fastening point and comes into contact with the second point such a door sill that restricts the gap during measurement.
