The hydraulic assembly has a pressure medium container (10) where its interior is defined by upper and lower walls with shape stability (11,12), and wall components (35) between them with a variable shape, in a hermetic seal. The gap between the walls with shape stability (11,12) is varied so that the pressure medium within the container (10) is held under a constant overpressure irrespective of the volume of the medium. The walls (11,12) are formed by two troughs within each other, where one is fixed in place and the other can move in relation to the fixed trough to give a static lower wall (11) and a movable upper wall (12) with at least one spring unit (35) between them. The container (10) can be a flexible bag which creates a slight overpressure through its residual elasticity.
