The method involves applying a fine distribution of dry ice (9) to the clutter. Jets of dry ice act on the clutter from a container (2) with nozzles (6) applied to a wall of mist (3). An inflatable or displaceable membrane in the container expels the dry ice from at least one nozzle. The container is pear-shaped with the nozzles at the tip and a gas generator and membrane in the bottom. An independent claim is also included for a container for implementing the method.
