The fuel injection valve has a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive valve actuator (4) and a valve closure body (20) actuated via an actuating body (15) and/or a valve needle (19) that interacts with a valve seat surface to form a sealing seat. The actuating body or the valve needle can be connected to the valve actuator via at least one stop actuator (10) acting essentially perpendicular to the valve actuator direction.
