The method involves offering a chance jump from a defined chance field (17,19) via at least one other chance field (17,19) of a chance play device (15) depending on the magnitude of a payout probability. A defined symbol combination is paid out, whereby a certain probability is defined in the payout device (25) that enables a chance jump with the danger of a loss of the chance.
