90 deg swinging motion of the grip mechanism is effected by the lever (17) in the access region of the mold. The lever is carried to rotate in bearings in a bevel gear unit (10) on the drive shaft (9) of the rack- (7) operated worm gear (3). The driving bevel gear wheel is operated by a lever arm (12) with a roller cam follower (13), guided in a cam track of the cam wheel. Preferred Features: The worm gear (3) is carried in longitudinal movement in the console (1). A twin cam-following arrangement to operate the driving bevel wheel is described.
