A single or multilayer film contains at least one layer comprising a copolyamide containing 10-2000 ppm dispersed nanoscale nucleating particles The polyamide composition contains 3-15 mol.% aromatic monomers (w.r.t the polyamide composition) or contains at least one aliphatic polyamide such that the mixture has a DSC m.pt. (cooling rate of 10 K/min) of no greater than 205 deg C. A single or multilayer film (I) contains at least one layer (II) that comprises a copolyamide containing dispersed nanoscale nucleating particles (P), whereby the smallest solid unit forming component of the particles in number average of all particles has an extension of less than 100 nm in at least one randomly chosen direction. Cooling of the layer (II) from a fully molten state at a rate of 10-20 deg C per minute results in a crystalline structure growing from the surface of the particles (P) whereby the copolyamide contains 10-2000 ppm particles (P). The polyamide composition contains at least one homopolyamide composition containing at least one homopolyamide and/or copolyamide comprised of aromatic monomers such that the content of aromatic monomers is 3-15 mol. % (w.r.t the polyamide composition) or contains at least one aliphatic polyamide such that the mixture has a DSC m.pt. (cooling rate of 10 K/min) of no greater than 205 deg C.
