A tube (4) is moved by a feeder unit (5) to e.g. a slide rail part (6.1,6.2) for bending in a bending tool (1). The tube is clamped in the tool, and moved between two bending axis (3.1,3.2) for bending about one of these axis. The tool consists of two bending parts (2.1,2.2), one of which acts as clamping element, the other as bending element. One or both of the slide rail parts move with the tube. The tube is turned axially through an angle by the feeder, before or after a bending stage.
