The communications device has a microphone for receiving the spoken words of a user (11). The microphone is mounted in a housing (10) covering the user's mouth and contains a loudspeaker (13) for outputting noise for concealing, compensating or falsifying the words spoken by the user. An Independent claim is also included for a method of picking up words spoken by the user.
