Stirring assembly for liquid manure within a storage tank has structured stirrers with part surfaces at an angle to each other on lateral carriers with different dimensions to give a consistent liquid without precipitated solids
The assembly to stir liquid manure, and keep it circulating within a manure tank, has stirrers (14) where their leading sides on the cutting planes are parallel to the rotary axis and at a tangent to the circle around the axis, with two sections (20,21) at different alignments, linked (18) together. The sections are arranged at increasing gaps from the linking zone in the direction of rotation (R), to project increasingly from the linking zone (18) and form a recess at the leading side. The rotary axis has two converging planes each on one of the stirrer sections (20,21) to the leading side, each intersecting at an angle of 10-40 deg . The dimensions of the stirrers (14) have a larger width than height, and preferably at least 1.5 times the height. The stirrers (14) are at a gap from the rotary axis which is generally equal to the stirrer width. The linking zone (18) between the stirrer sections (20,21) lies on a radial direction, preferably over the whole width of the stirrer (14). The stirrers (14) are formed of bent plates, forming a linking zone (18) between the sections (20,21). They are mounted to a lateral carrier (13) at the rear side, away from the direction of rotation (R) at a part which extends to the rear at the carrier (13). The leading side of the stirrers (14) is formed by two flat sections (20,21) at an angle to each other, where one section (21) has an increased axial height compared with the other section, and preferably by a factor of 2. The angle between the stirrer sections (20,21) is 160-100 deg and preferably 120 deg , and the planes of the two sections intersect the rotary axis by 30 deg . Two pairs of stirrers (14) are fitted to the rotary axis, with a 180 deg offset between the pairs. The lower pair of stirrers is keyed to the rotary shaft (7), and the upper pair is at a float (15) which is keyed to the shaft (7) for rotation, but moves up and down with the level of liquid manure in the tank. The lateral carriers (13) for the stirrers are aligned at 90 deg to the rotary axis, and are turned round with the axis. At the bottom pair of stirrers (14), the upper sections (21) extend further from the linking zone (18) than the lower sections (20) and, in the upper pair of stirrers (14), the upper sections (20) are narrower from the linking zones (18) than the deeper lower sections (21). At least one part surface of the stirrers (14) extends increasing in a radial direction from the rotary axis, in the direction of rotation (R), to increase the tangential acceleration of the liquid manure during stirring.
