FIELD: antenna engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves weighing signals received by each radiator using complex weight factor. Signals picked off outputs of complex weighing devices are divided between two channels and those picked off output of dividers are summed up further on at respective progressive ascending and descending phase shift ensuring deflection of each beam through angle ±Δ&thetas;.Sum and difference directivity patterns are then formed from two single-pulse beams. Complex weight factors are defined as main vector of Hermite-form beam corresponding to highest characteristic number of beam whose definition involves use of data on direction to signal source and on distribution of noise sources; chosen as first and second Hermite forms are signal power in sum channel and total noise power in beams of single-pulse group. EFFECT: optimized signal-to-noise ratio. 3 dwg
