FIELD: experimental hydrodynamic; measurement of thrust and torque at propeller shaft of ship equipped with adjustable-pitch propellers. SUBSTANCE: method consists in setting several magnitudes of propeller shaft rotational speed and blade pitch, measurement of respective output signals from thrust and torque sensors and determination of actual magnitudes of thrust and torque of ship's propeller shaft by respective formulas on basis of respective dependences plotted according to results of above-mentioned measurements.
