PURPOSE: Provided is a method for constructing a retaining wall of a building under a ground by utilizing a soil protection wall mounted at digging a depression for fitting an underground structure of the building as a part of the retaining wall. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises, in addition to any of common building works for forming a permanent underground structure with a temporary soil protection wall, further a step of mounting section steel reinforcements(11a) on a H form(21) section steel or reinforcing bar or a sheet pile in order to enhance internal strength by integrating the steel bar with the reinforcements. The construction method comprises forming a steel sheet pile soil protection wall; digging a depression inside the wall; mounting a fixing shear connection(11) to the pile; arranging reinforcing bars(3a,4a) to an underground retaining wall(2); and placing a mold inside the wall(2) and introducing concrete into the mold.
