摘要
The present invention includes determining the type of genetic polymorphism of glutathione S-transferase (hereinafter referred to as GST) involved in the metabolism of procarcinogen in vivo. The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing genetic susceptibility of cervical cancer. According to the present invention, there is a very high relationship between the genetic polymorphism of GSTT1 belonging to theta class and GSTM1 belonging to theta class of the isoenzymes of GST and the genetic susceptibility of cervical cancer. A close link was found. In other words, GSTT1 gene deficiency was high in cervical cancer patients 40 years of age or younger, and when GSTT1 and GSTM1 genes were simultaneously deficient, the probability of cervical cancer before the age of 40 was 8.6 times higher. According to the diagnostic method of the present invention, the genetic susceptibility to cervical cancer of each individual can be easily determined by analyzing the presence or absence of the previous GSTT1 and GSTM1 genes. Therefore, the diagnostic method of the present invention may be usefully used for the diagnosis and prevention of cervical cancer.
