Tunnel drilling method for minimizing deformations occurring on surface of ground above tunneling operation involves determining deformation data during drilling, and operating the drill subject to the deformation data
The drilling method entails taking measurements on the surface of the ground (B) of the upward and downward displacements caused by the passage of the tunnel boring machine. The displacements are measured directly by using settlement beacons (24), or indirectly using measuring equipment (25) attached to a building (G). The data is received in a processing unit and transmitted to a boring machine (1) where it is displayed graphically. The operator then makes any necessary adjustments such that deformations are minimal. An Independent claim is included for a tunnel drilling device
