Technical Result Increase in reliability of protection of oil-trunk pipeline or gas pipeline from fire and/or explosion, increase in efficiency and simplification of the design of the protective device. 2. Essence A method comprises placing fire extinguisher and/or flame catcher on the pipeline stretches, compact location of the mentioned device in the interiors of the body from the side of the cap of the flame catcher and/or the means for prevention of detonation, by means of which the filtration of the passing oil or gas in the pipeline is effected. A device comprises a hollow cylinder body 3, in the cavity of which a fire extinguisher and/or a flame catcher device 9 is placed. It has an input 4 and output 5 sockets to connect to the pipeline, and the body is provided with the cap 6 from above and with the precipitation tank 7 from below. 3. Field of Application Means for transporting fuel liquids or gas, in particular the systems of protection from fires during transporting.
