B AGRICULTURAL APPARATUS FOR LOW DENSITY CULTURE HARVESTING AS COTTON, COVER FOR A RESERVOIR AND METHOD OF CONFIGURING A COTTON HARVESTING MACHINE D an agricultural device is revealed here for harvesting a low density crop, like cotton. The agricultural apparatus includes a structure, a device that receives culture associated with the structure; a culture collection reservoir, or basket, which is supported by the structure, adjustable in position in relation to the structure, and provided with an opening in a wall of the reservoir to transport culture into the reservoir; a transport device for transporting the culture from the receiving device to the reservoir and having a first end associated with the receiving device and a second end associated with the opening of the reservoir; and a fin pivotally attached to the reservoir to selectively cover the opening of the reservoir and to engage the second end of the transport device. The fin can include one or more locking devices to secure the cover in an open position and in a closed position. The locking apparatus may be of the cylinder, pin, and retainer type, and may be arranged at a first end, a second end, or a first and second end of the cover. Also disclosed is a method of preparing a cotton harvesting machine for transportation, including the step of pivoting a fin from an open position to a closed position.
