PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and device of a barrier rib molding female die for molding an original body, capable of improving luminance and having high strength, and to provide a plasma display panel. ;SOLUTION: Irradiation light-rays 32a from a light source 32 are irradiated on a photosensitive resin plate 30 through a film 31 having a masking pattern coping with barrier ribs formed. The irradiation light-rays are set in parallel with one another, the light source 32 and the film 31 are moved relatively to each other, the irradiation angle of the parallel light-rays of the light source is varied, the irradiation light-rays are irradiated on the cross-sectional area of the photosensitive resin plate 30 through the film 31, and photoresist processing is applied to the photosensitive resin plate, so that trapezoidal openings 30a are etched in the photosensitive resin plate. The original bodies of barrier ribs are molded, by using the photosensitive resin plate as a barrier rib molding female die or model, and the original bodies are baked in a baking furnace, so that the trapezoidal barrier ribs are formed on the back plate of a PDP.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
