PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the carefully selecting means for the meaning property of a word which can improve the precision of a concept base and the computer- readable recording medium where the careful selection program for the meaning property of a word is recorded. SOLUTION: To respective independent words of a meaning property list made to correspond to index words, variance values of importance, made to correspond to independent words, which are large in value when variance over all index words is large and small when small are made to correspond; when a variance value made to correspond to an independent word does not exceed a specified threshold, the independent word is judged to be necessary and when the variance value does not exceed the threshold, the independent word is judged to be unnecessary and removed from respective meaning property lists of all index words.
