PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prescription transmission and management system which can safely and speedily transmit medical prescription information issued by a medical institution to a medicine preparing institution, by using a computer network such as the Internet and to provide a prescription transmitting and managing method using the system. SOLUTION: The transmission and management system comprises a prescription information receiving module, which receives prescription information from an issue institution for prescription, a ciphering and deciphering module which ciphers or decipher the prescription information received, a database for prescription information in which the prescription information is classified by either clients or patents and is then stored, a transmission module which sends the prescription information to other specified clients, and a control module which controls the modules and database.
