PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traverse controlling method for a winding machine capable of providing a yarn package with excellent package formation and unreeling property, low in yarn cutting frequency at the time of a winding and having a simple computing mechanism during a winding. ;SOLUTION: A traverse speed pattern is preliminarily generated as a function of a package number of revolution, a traverse speed command corresponding to a detected package number of revolution during a winding is prepared from the traverse speed pattern and the command to outputted to a control device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
