PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella that does not generate deleterious compounds of chlorine when it is incinerated, and is hard to generate rust on the metal libs of the umbrella, or to provide such canopy sheet for the umbrella and it to provide an umbrella which is easy to open without causing the canopy sheet stuck with each another, even if the umbrella is used plural times. ;SOLUTION: In an umbrella to which ribs 1 a synthetic resin sheet canopy 2 is attached, the synthetic resin sheet is a, its main components are ethylene sheet which is mainly composed of ethylene-methyl methacrylate (MMA) copolymer and preferably mat finished. The sheet of the canopy that does not contain chlorine or a compound of chlorine, and that does not generate a deleterious compound of chlorine upon incinerator after disposal. And also, EMMA is hard to generate rust on metal lib, of the umbrella made of metal, because an acid group is not librated in confat with water.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
