PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a solution of chemical conversion treatment having the low concentration of hexavalent chromium capable of providing a surface treated magnesium alloy product high in corrosion resistance, to provide a method for producing a high corrosion resistance rust preventing treated magnesium alloy product in which the surface of an aluminum- containing magnesium alloy is subjected to chemical conversion treatment by using the solution and to provide a high corrosion resistance rust preventing treated magnesium alloy product.;SOLUTION: In this chemically treating solution for an aluminum-containing magnesium alloy, the concentration of a chromic compound is 3 to 50 g/L expressed in terms of the content of CrO3, the concentration of a magnetic acid is 0.5 g/L to solubility expressed in terms of the content of KMnO4, the concentration of nitric acid compound is 3 to 60 g/L expressed in terms of the content of NaNO3, the concentration of acetic acid compound is 0.5 to 50 g/L expressed in terms of the content of CH3COONa, and the concentration of a phosphoric acid compound is 0.05 to 8 g/L expressed in terms of the content of Na3PO4.
