PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain powder capable of sufficiently generating negative ions at a low cost by mixing powder having spontaneous polarization with the powder of an exciting agent that excites the powder having spontaneous polarization in such a way that negative ions are generated.;SOLUTION: The powder having the greatest spontaneous polarization among the powder of ores having spontaneous polarization is, the powder of tourmaline and the powder which emits a very small amount of radiation is the powder of davidite, brannerite, uraninite, or the like. The exciting agent powder preferably emits ≥5 Bq/g radiation and has ≤20 μm average particle diameter. It is also preferable that the resulting mixed powder is uniformly dispersed by 0.05-50 wt.% in a synthetic resin such as a polyester or polyacrylic resin. It is also desirable that the mixed powder is kneaded with a nylon resin, or the like, and the melt of the kneaded material is extruded from a nozzle at a constant flow rate, taken off at a constant rate and solidified to form a fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
