PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eligibly judge reliability of rotating speed of an internal combustion engine, and judge correct rotating speed of the internal combustion engine. ;SOLUTION: A master control unit 270 takes a crank angle engine rotating speed Necrn and cam angle engine rotating speed Necam on the basis of a crank angle signal Sne and a cylinder judging signal Sg respectively outputted from a crank position sensor 152 and a cam position sensor 155. Calculation engine rotating speed Necal is acquired from a collinear figure using rotating speed Nm1 of a motor MG1 detected by first and second motor rotating speed sensors 134, 144 and rotating speed Nm2 of a motor MG2. The master control unit 270 decides correct engine rotating speed Ne on the basis of combination of the crank angle engine rotating speed Necrn, the cam angle engine rotating speed Necam, and the calculation engine rotating seed Necal which are acquired respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
