PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to restart a program, without penalty of lost time by surely performing exact tracking of execution time and by periodically updating execution time even when a program crush occurs. SOLUTION: Concerning the method for monitoring the use of the execution time of demonstration evaluation software, the number of clocks is monitored while running a software program and through the whole execution, the lapse of execution time is updated periodically. The lapse of execution time is stored inside a key in a concealed file or in software registry. Until the lapse of execution time exceeds a prescribed evaluation time, the program is continuously operated, and then running is disabled until the program is registered by the user.
