PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the determination of the physical recovery of a confined woman after delivery, or whether she can be discharged from hospital or not by measuring the bionic electric characteristic of the confined woman after delivery, recording the value of the biological electric characteristic, and determining the physical recovery from the change of this value. ;SOLUTION: In the use of a physical recovery measuring device, the height, weight in non-pregnant time (or initial stage of pregnancy), electric impedance and interstitial tissue moisture index of a pregnant woman are inputted to an arithmetic processing part 10 after the internal initial set thereof. The expected day of delivery and the data for expected day of delivery are inputted and stored in a memory part 14. The delivery date is set and stored, and both feet are put on electrodes 8A, 9A and 8B and 9B on the upper surface of the physical recovery measuring device to measure the weight. This weight is compared with the weight in non-pregnant time to calculate how much it is close to the weight in non-pregnant time. The biological electric impedance and interstitial tissue moisture index are calculated and compared with each value in non-pregnant time, and the degree of recovery is calculated and displayed on a display part 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
