PURPOSE: To obtain a new amidinocyclohexane derivative, having inhibitory action on proteolytic enzymes and useful as a medicine. ;CONSTITUTION: The amidinocyclohexane derivative of formula I [R is phenyl which may have a substituent group; (n) is 0-2] and its stereoisomer of formula II, e.g. 4-t-butylphenyl 3-(trans-4'-amidinocyclohexyl)propionate. The compounds of formulas I and II are obtained by esterifying new compounds of formulas III and IV with a compound of the formula ROH. The compounds are capable of effectively acting on suppression of cell proliferation or pancreatitis.
