PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antimicrobial fiber, antimicrobial spun yarn and antimicrobial fabric that can retain high durability to the post processing's, for example, with water, detergent, dye and the like with a small amount added. SOLUTION: In the objective antimicrobial fiber 200, the glass composition for imparting the antimicrobial properties 10 is fixed on the surface of the fiber substrate 16 and/or dispersed in the substrate and they are composited. The glass composition for imparting antimicrobial properties is obtained by formulating 0.1-5.0 wt.% of Ag2O to a glass composition 10 including 45-67 mol.% of P2O5, 5-20 mol.% of Al2O3, and 1-40 mol.% of one or two or more kinds of MgO, CaO, and ZnO and =20 mol.% of B2O3. For example, the antimicrobial fiber 200 containing 0.1-5.0 wt.% of the glass composition for imparting antimicrobial properties 10 reveals the antimicrobial properties that are high resistant to water, acid, alkali and detergent.
