PURPOSE: To provide an ascending current regeneration-type ion-exchange tower which shows an improved regeneration efficiency by inhibiting the fluidization of an ion-exchange resin layer during a regeneration cycle. ;CONSTITUTION: The lower part of an ion-exchange resin layer 2 to be loaded in a main ion-exchange tower system 1 is filled with a granular filler 3 which floats through a water-permeable filter mat 4.
