Separation of viral particles (VP) from a biological medium, comprising at least one chromatography step on a matrix support comprising ion-exchange groups, grafted on to the matrix via flexible arms, is new. An Independent claim is also included for a method for quantifying adenovirus by separation on type Q Sepharose XL (RTM) then measuring the absorbance of the chromatography fractions.
