The antenna comprises sub-arrays (10) which are provided with a transmission line excitation system (13) and a system of electrically-controlled phase shifters (15) feeding planar discrete radiators (14), mounted in the antenna aperture and spaced by several wavelengths. The radiators make up a radiating system (11) in each sub-array, for which a common beam steering system (17) is used. The total number of outputs of the excitation system is equal to the number of phase shifters, while four inputs (16) are provided.
