Apparatus for dissolving a gas in a liquid comprises pump for extracting fraction of liquid and re-injecting it in form of jet under pressure to form bubbles
The apparatus comprises a pump for extracting a fraction of the liquid and re-injecting it in the form of a jet (j) under pressure to form bubbles, while the gas (G) is supplied to the surface of the liquid. The jet agitates a floating device. The apparatus contains two floats (2) in parallel, connected by a plate which supports the pump. The floats protect the means of re-injecting the liquid and of supplying the gas. The floats carry a plate (50) with holes (51) through which the liquid flows under pressure in the form of jets. The jets are isolated one from another by deflectors (60) defining the frothing zones (6) at each jet. The floats include a zone forming a bubble trap (9), separated from the frothing zones by a divider (8). Each float has an outlet for the treated liquid with a calibrated section to maintain the internal pressure in the float at a desired level. Each float includes a gas purge nozzle with a calibrated section to remove only the excess gas. The apparatus has a single gas inlet which divides into two pipes each opening into a float. The pipes have identical sections to divide the gas equally.
