A bridged siloxane block copolymer of formula (I) is useful as an additive for the production of polyurethane foam. In (I), A = R1, B, E or is of formula (II) or (III), B = formula (II) or (II); Y = Y1 or Y2; D is of formula OZSi(R1)2A (IV); R1 = 1-30C alkyl, optionally substituted, aryl or alkaryl optionally substituted whereby at 80% of the R1 groups are methyl; E = -R2f-O-(CmH2mO)nR3, and/or an epoxy functionalised alkyl, optionally containing heteroatoms, a mono-, di- or tri- hydroxyalkyl, optionally branched or aromatic and partially or fully converted to ether or ester, a halogen or pseudohalogen substituted alkyl- , aryl- or aralkyl R2 = divalent alkyl; R3 = H, 1-6C alkyl, optionally substituted , acyl or -O-CO-NHR4-; R4 = alkyl or aryl, optionally substituted; X = a multivalent group; a = 3-200; b = 0-50; c = 0-10; d = 0-5; e = 0-4; and at least b or c do not equal 0.
