Process information displaying method for controlling and/or monitoring manufacturing processes, uses a display screen with a user definable window, to display a trend chart of process parameters and events
The process information displaying method uses a workstation consisting of a display, a controller and an I/O subsystem. A display screen featuring a trend chart (52) of process parameters is generated and displayed in a user definable window (58). An event table (54) is then generated which matches information describing process events to selected parameters generated beforehand. Event markers (90,92) are displayed on the trend chart, indicative of the events from the event table. The trend chart usually takes the form of a line graph. The whole configuration, can be stored on the workstation for later use. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process control and/or monitoring system; and (2) a graphical user interface.
