The artificially laid, closed, and vertical or embanked basin enclosure has at least one defined inlet and drain, and also a hydraulic connection to the surrounding tidal regime. The closed basin enclosure and with the bathing polder itself can be in any geometric form with or without direction connection to the land and independent of the shape of the coast line. The connections to the land may be at two points.
