A liquid via a conductor is pumped into an entry of a nozzle. A sample in liquid form as a liquid jet or as an aerosol freely flight into a hot tube. A pressure drop at the nozzle for generating the liquid jet or the aerosol is less than 3 MPa. The nozzle is in general a round finely bored through plate (18) of size below a millimeter size. The plate is fastened to a nozzle body (19) using a wrap nut (20). A through-hole (21) supports the nozzle body concentrically and at the input side a connection screw thread (22).
