Controlling vehicle drive power involves one control unit producing demand value(s) for second control unit from demand value for drive unit output to achieve overall demand value
The method involves controlling the vehicle drive unit with at least two control units (10,10b), whereby each control unit is associated with part of the drive unit and at least one demand value for a drive unit output parameter is detected and the drive unit is controlled depending on it via the two control units. One of the control units produces at least one demand value for the other control unit from the demand value for the drive unit output so that the overall demand value is achieved, whereby the associated demand value is transmitted to the other control unit. An Independent claim is also included for a device for controlling the drive power of a vehicle.
