The assembly (10) to present a structure (12) holding a flat blade (14) against a moving surface has a tensioning unit (24) which presses the blade (14) over the width (B) of the moving web (16). The tensioning unit (24) presses the blade (14) at the opposite side edges (14c,14d) at the end (14a) of the blade against the moving web (16). The tensioner (24) has at least two lever units (26a,26b) each at one of the two side edges (14c,14d) of the blade (14). The tensioner (24) is at the blade (14) holder (20). The two lever units (26a,26b) are on swing mountings at the blade holder (20), moved by a common setting system (36) at the blade holder (20). The blade (14) is a doctor blade, at the assembly (12) to dose and spread a coating layer (18) on the moving web surface (16), or the blade is a scraper for cleaning the surface of the moving unit.
