Electrocoating compositions based on an aqueous dispersion of anionic modified polyurethane(meth)acrylates with terminal ethylenically unsaturated (meth)acrylic double bonds bound to the anionic modified polyurethane prepolymer via urethane-, urea-, amide- or ester groups. Aqueous electrocoating lacquers for anodic deposition, comprising (A) an aqueous dispersion containing one or more anionic modified polyurethane(meth)acrylates (a1) with terminal ethylenically unsaturated (meth)acrylic double bonds bound to the anionic modified polyurethane prepolymer via urethane-, urea-, amide- or ester groups and one or more reactive diluents (a2) with at least two ethylenically unsaturated (meth)acrylic double bonds, the (meth)acrylic double bonds in the mixture of (a1) and (a2) having a bromine number of 20-150 g Br/100 g solids, (B) optionally one or more photoinitiators and/or optionally one or more thermally activated radical initiators, and (C) optionally conventional assistants, additives, pigments and/or fillers.
