Detecting and signaling state of impending danger of tipping of land vehicle, especially fighting vehicle such as tank, involves comparing measured inclination angles with defined threshold angle
The method involves defining at least one threshold value for an inclination angle between the vehicle longitudinal axis and/or transverse axis and the horizontal plane that is smaller than a predefined maximum angle by a predefined amount; measuring the inclination angle between the axes and horizontal plane at least at defined time intervals and/or distances; comparing the measured and threshold values; and generating (6) a warning signal if the measured angle reaches or exceeds the threshold value. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for implementing the method.
