Production of temperature differences in gases also electron-gases using potential fields carried out so that gas in container has average molecular free path nearly equal to height of container
The method for producing temperature differences is carried out, with the gas pressure in the container so low that the average free path length of the gas molecule is not very much smaller that the height of the gas container (in the potential field). A suitably shaped cover and base of the gas container are used, or a suitably selected base or cover surface, so that the radiation characteristic of the gas molecule emitted from the base to the cover, is not cosine shaped to the vertical (the field lines).
