The anchoring elements (21,23) for the external stressing members (23) run straight between top and bottom (2,5) flanges and are forcibly joined to these at their ends using disk-shaped stressing elements for preference at least 1.5 m long. The elements (21,22) can be in trapezoidal section and are recessed lengthways with the anchoring elements in the upper flange (2) held by a transverse connection which lies between and is forcibly joined to the top flange webs, leaving the connection divorced from the top flange (2).
