The upper end of an extended inner tube (1), forming the evaporator tube of a coaxial tube arrangement (1,3) is fused to one side of a tube connection (6) and on the other side to a tube (7), while a connection (11) is provided at the lower end of the inner tube. A helical insert (2) is fused on to the inside wall of the inner tube in a trough arrangement. The outer tube (3) forms a heating jacket and connections (4,5) are attached at the rear tangentially, at top and bottom, to allow circulation of the heating medium. In a preferred arrangement, the tube (7) at the top of the inner tube can be replaced by a cooling finger or cooling spiral, attached in a vertical axial position.
