The current detector has at least two detector lines (5a,5b) in the cable (1) which carry current in opposite directions and at least two current detectors (6a-6d) at switching points (2) and in a control center (4) whose outputs are connected to logic circuits (7) with which an output signal (8a,8b) indicating an electromagnetic line disturbance is generated if not all current detectors at one of the switching points respond to the control center.
