FIELD: metallurgy, namely processes for repairing refractory lining of hearth of aggregates such as converters, electric arc furnaces, mixers and so on by ceramic fusion with use of termite refractory mass. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of applying onto surface of hearth lining termite refractory mass including mixture of refractory powdered filler and metallic powder as combustible component, igniting mixture, melting refractory filler due to realizing exothermic reaction in mixture at high temperature; welding it to hearth lining with formation of layer of fused ceramic mass. Termite refractory mass includes in addition solid-phase oxidizing agent in quantity (15-25)mass % and stabilizing additive. Mixture in dried form or in the form of aqueous suspension is applied onto preliminarily cleaned surface of lining hearth heated until working temperature of aggregate for igniting, melting and submelting surface layer of hearth in order to form monolithic reliably bound ceramic layer. Termite refractory mass includes (mass %): refractory powdered filler - (30-60), metallic powder - (10-30), ferrum oxides as stabilizing additive - (10-30) and solid phase oxidizer - (15-25). Solid phase oxidizer is potassium nitrate or compounds of hexavalent manganese and(or) tetravalent chrome. Metallic powder includes aluminium, silicium, magnesium, silicium- and magnesium-containing aluminium alloys.
