摘要

FIELD: working of rigid materials, particularly wire electrodes for working mainly for electroerosion working of rigid materials. SUBSTANCE: wire electrode is in the form of rod covered with envelope. Outer layer of rod is made of copper or copper-zinc alloy consisting completely or partially from α-phase. Envelope of rod is made of copper-zinc alloy and it consists mainly of γ-phase. Method for preparing electrode for electroerosion working of rigid material comprises steps of applying envelope onto rod, deforming rod, annealing it at 500-800 C, cooling and additionally deforming until final diameter. Envelope is applied onto rod at temperature not allowing diffusion. Annealing temperature is set by heating at rate equal at least to 10 C/s for annealing during 10 - 300 s. Cooling is realized at rate more than 10 C/s. EFFECT: possibility of making wire electrode working with high efficiency. 10 cl, 7 dwg
