PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an Al2O3-SiC-TiC composite powder is provided, which simplifies manufacturing process, increases energy efficiency and represents a high purity by mixing silicon oxide (SiO2), titanium oxide (TiO2), aluminum (Al) and carbon (C) in a certain mole ratio and using SHS (self-propagating high temperature synthesis). CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing an Al2O3-SiC-TiC composite powder comprises the steps of mixing silicon oxide (SiO2), titanium oxide (TiO2), aluminum (Al) and carbon (C) in a mole ratio of 2.5:0.5:4:1; forming the mixture into a pellet by applying a forming pressure of 80 MPa to the formed mixture; charging the pellet into a self-propagating high temperature synthesizing reactor under an inert gas atmosphere; burning the pellet in the self-propagating high temperature synthesizing reactor; and discharging the manufactured burned product from the self-propagating high temperature synthesizing reactor, wherein the method further comprises a step of preheating the pellet after the step of charging the pellet into a self-propagating high temperature synthesizing reactor under an inert gas atmosphere (Ar).
