PURPOSE: Provided is a method for purifying growth hormone of recombinant Korean rockfish in a high yield. The hormone is useful in manufacturing fish feed-stuff to cultivate fish more rapidly. CONSTITUTION: The method for purifying growth hormone of recombinant Korean rockfish in a high yield is characterized by the following steps of: i) cultivating E. coli (KCTC 0282 BP) producing the growth hormone of recombinant Korean rockfish in an LB medium at 37 deg.C for 12 hours; ii) dissolving inclusion bodies of the growth hormone in alkali solution containing 0.05-0.01% of surfactant like sodium dodecyl sulfate and reducing agent and agitating the solution for 12-21 hours; and iii) obtaining the growth hormone activated through disulfide bond and oxidation process. Wherein, the reducing agent includes 2-mercaptoethanol, cysteine, or glutathione.
